Our Easter Events
The Living Calvary
The Living Calvary is a silent re-creation of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ between the two thieves, depicted by church members. This dramatic production takes place in front of the church sanctuary, facing Castle Hayne Road. The WebServant knows from personal experience that, when driving past, even an atheist will do a double-take, turn his head and exclaim, "Those are real people!"
The Living Cross
This presentation explains the true reason that we celebrate Easter. The Living Cross is a musical drama which portrays the last days of Jesus Christ, utilizing the drama team, adult choir, and instruments. The Easter story comes to life in this inspiring worship experience for the entire family. With performances in the week between Palm Sunday and Good Friday, The Living Cross is a much-anticipated event and always, blessedly, popular.
Our three presentations in 2008 drew a total attendance of 2,189 people.
Sunrise ServiceJoin us at the riverfront on Old Bridgesite Road for a daybreak service of praise, prayer, music, and the Lord's Supper, as we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior.
