"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us." 2 Corinthians 5:20a, NIV
"As a Royal Ambassador I will do my best,
to become a well-informed, responsible follower of Christ;
to have a Christ-like concern for all people;
to learn how the message of Christ is carried around the world;
to work with others in sharing Christ;
and, to keep myself clean and healthy in mind and body."Our Royal Ambassadors
"Learning About Missions"
Boys participating in the advancement programs earn patches and badges for learning new skills and achieving goals. Most RA chapters are divided into two age groups: "Lads" for grades 1, 2, and 3, and "Crusaders" for grades 4, 5, and 6. Some churches have a division for older boys called "Challengers."
At Wrightsboro Baptist Church, boys in grades 1 through 5 can be members of the RA’s. At our church 6th grade boys participate in Youth on Missions with other middle school youth. We hold chapter meetings Wednesday nights from 7 - 8 P.M. Lads and Crusaders normally meet together. Boys learn about missionaries, play mission-based games, and learn camp skills at our chapter meetings. At various times during the year, boys may build pinewood derby cars, line gliders, or sail boats and participate in races within our group or with other RA chapters in the Wilmington Baptist Association. We also have campouts and take field trips at other times during the year.
The RA's and Youth on Missions collect pull tabs from soda cans. These aluminum tabs help lower the cost of kidney dialysis at Southeastern Dialysis. Everyone in the family can help with this ~ just designate a cup or bowl for all tabs to be placed before recycling the aluminum cans. The Wrightsboro Elementary School parking lot has a large fenced bin for recyclables.
The leaders of the Royal Ambassadors at Wrightsboro Baptist Church are Jeff & Kathryn Taylor, Melvin Inscoe, and Kay Carr. We also have other parents who help from time to time with various events and activities.
