"I can do everything through him who gives me strength."
Philippians 4:13, NIV

Staff of Wrightsboro Baptist Church

Rev. A. Keith Hollar
Senior Pastor

The Lord brought Keith to us on December 17, 2000. This is a man with passion for the Lord and enthusiasm for the congregation. Using facial expressions, gestures, and humor to illustrate his sermons, he's a captivating and endearing speaker. His style of preaching is joyful - God is good, all the time! - with the subtle message to follow Christ's example in all we do. It is said that Pastor Keith speaks to your soul... Keith's family is comprised of his radiant wife Holly and adult children Adam and Rachel. Keith says: "My life has been dedicated full time to Jesus Christ since 1974, and I want to serve Him by serving others until He calls me home." Say "Happy Birthday" on April 25th.

Peggy Croom
Minister of Music and Church Ministries

What can we say about Peggy? We can't quite pin her down long enough for a conversation. Peggy will provide music and singing at every opportunity, and when she's not busy with weekly services, she's looking ahead to annual special presentations. Husband Ben lends his strong voice to the choir and teenage son Alan completes the family. There's no denying Peggy's love of music in praise for the Lord. Sing "Happy Birthday to YOU!" on June 24th.

Rev. Mike Lewis
Minister of Education and Evangelism

Need a hug? Mike is the man to see! He's been dispensing hugs at WBC since December, 1981. Mike's love for the Lord is a reflection of one of his favorite passages of scripture: "ThoughI am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible... I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings." (1 Corinthians 9:19, 22-23) He and Sylvia have been married for 30+ years, and have a son and a married daughter. Mike wishes this for for all of us: "May we all live and love and serve in such a way that we will one day hear our Lord say about us, 'Well done, good and faithful servant!' (Matthew 25:21)" Give Mike a birthday hug on June 6th.

Rev. Kristopher Patton
Minister of Students

Kris has been serving the Lord here since October, 2005. Kris has been working with youth for ten years, and keeps kids in line! He and his wife, Sarah, are both North Carolina natives. Son Jake was born over Thanksgiving weekend, '05, and Luke on the 1st of April, '08. Bring Kris a birthday cake on June 26th.

Gwen Waggett
Administrative Assistant

A Wilmington native, Gwen began serving the church as financial secretary in 1996, becoming the church secretary in February 1999, after Martha Herring's retirement. She and husband Warren have sons and stepsons, and several grandchildren. Gwen also adores the church family, "the warm and loving spirit of the members," here at Wrightsboro. Offer birthday wishes on March 29th.

Lisa Nielsen
Administrative Assistant, Receptionist

Lisa is the newest member of our staff, joining in 2007. Her welcoming smile and ready laugh are perfect for our church office! Bring Lisa birthday treats on July 30th.

Carolyn Benton
Pianist

Our energetic Carolyn began playing in church at the age of 12, and, for the most part, the Sundays of her life have been spent at a musical instrument in a church! The Bentons joined WBC in January of 1973, with Carolyn becoming the church pianist in June of that year. She says, "God instilled in me at an early age the love of church music and then later a great desire to minister to others and exalt Him through its beauty!" Carolyn has two adult children and an adored grandson. "Being a part of the Wrightsboro family and sharing in the lives of so many of its wonderful and God-loving people has brought great joy and satisfaction to my life. Through their love and by their example they have shown me the importance and beauty of a church family!" Carolyn's musical skills and enthusiasm are a special blessing for our church. "Whatsoever ye do, do it all for the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31b) Celebrate Carolyn's birthday on January 11th.

Jamie Faulk
Organist

A quiet man, Jamie originally contributed his talents to our sanctuary on a substitute basis. We're delighted to now have him playing each week.

(The WebServant needs to find out more about Jamie!
